Gentle, Thoughtful Bodywork That Works With Your Body
Your body works hard for you every day. Sometimes it needs more than simply being told to relax.
Stress, repetitive activities, old injuries, and everyday demands can all contribute to tension and discomfort. My approach is gentle and individualized, with an emphasis on working with your body—not against it.
My practice centers around three complementary approaches: Somatic Massage, Spontaneous Muscle Release Technique (SMRT®), and Integrative Energy Work. They can be used individually or thoughtfully combined to create a session that meets you where you are.
Somatic Massage
Slow down. Reconnect with your body. Find greater ease.
Somatic Massage is a gentle approach that combines mindful touch, body awareness, gentle movement, and breath to help you become more aware of the connection between your body and nervous system.
Our bodies can develop patterns of tension and holding in response to stress, daily demands, and life experiences. Somatic work provides a quiet, supportive environment to slow down, notice those patterns, and encourage your body toward greater relaxation and ease.
Somatic Massage may support:
Nervous-system regulation and relaxation
Greater awareness of physical tension
Releasing habitual patterns of muscular holding
A greater sense of grounding and connection with your body
Focused Somatic sessions are also available, including shorter sessions designed around a particular area or concern.
SMRT — Spontaneous Muscle Release Technique
A gentle approach to stubborn muscular tension and discomfort.
Sometimes a muscle doesn't need more pressure—it needs a different approach.
SMRT is a positional release technique that uses specific, comfortable positions and movements to encourage muscles to release unnecessary tension. Rather than digging into a painful area with deep pressure, SMRT works with the body's natural neurological responses.
SMRT may be used when you're experiencing muscular tension or discomfort involving areas such as:
Head, Neck & Jaw: migraines, stress headaches, tension headaches, jaw tension, tech neck, and neck stiffness
Arms, Wrists & Hands: repetitive-use discomfort, carpal tunnel-related symptoms, forearm tension, and hand or wrist fatigue
Low Back, Hips & Legs: low-back discomfort, sciatic pain or sciatica-related discomfort, hip and leg tension, knee discomfort, and calf tightness
Feet & Lower Legs: plantar fasciitis-related discomfort, foot tension, lower-leg tension, and calf tightness
Focused SMRT Sessions:
A focused session might address head and neck tension associated with a headache or “tech neck”, lower-leg or foot discomfort, calf tension, wrist or forearm tension, or another specific area of muscular discomfort.
Don’t have time for a full hour? 30-minute focused sessions are available upon request.
Integrative Energy Work
Supporting relaxation, balance, and your body's natural ability to restore.
Integrative Energy Work is based on the theory that the human body operates through a complex biomagnetic and electrical system. In short, "energy" flows through the body, triggering everything from your heartbeat to signals traveling through your nervous system. As a trained Reiki Master Teacher, my approach to energy work focuses on the science of this subtle anatomy.
When chronic pain or emotional stress disrupts the body's natural energy fields, it can leave you feeling physically exhausted, in pain, and disconnected. During a session, I use a hands-on approach to help calm the sympathetic nervous system (your fight-or-flight response). By supporting your body's natural energetic pathways, this work encourages deep cellular rest, reduction of physical tension, and restoration of harmony and peace.
Integrative Energy Work May Help:
Promote deep relaxation
lm the effects of stress and tension
Help you feel more grounded and centered
Release physical and emotional tension
Reconnect with your body
Support a greater sense of balance and well-being
Leave you feeling peaceful, refreshed, and restored
Integrative Energy Work can be incorporated into any of my therapeutic massage, Somatic Massage, or SMRT sessions, or enjoyed as a standalone session.
Myokinesthetic Technique (MYK)
Focused neurological bodywork for pain, posture, and movement.
Myokinesthetic Therapy is used to identify issues, map the nervous system, and manipulate specific muscles to balance the nervous system, relieve pain and restore movement. Treatments can take as little as thirty minutes.
Customized Therapeutic Sessions
Because your body is unique.
You don't have to know which technique you need before you schedule.
We'll begin by talking about what you're experiencing, what you'd like help with, and what feels comfortable for you, whether that is an integrated session, or sticking with one technique.
The goal is to listen, work gently, and support your body as it moves toward greater ease.
Additional Areas of Training
My primary focus is Somatic Massage, SMRT, and Integrative Energy Work. I also have training in additional approaches that may be incorporated when appropriate, including:
Swedish Massage • Lymphatic Drainage Massage • Craniosacral Therapy • Acupressure
These approaches are supporting options rather than the primary focus of my practice.
Not Sure Where to Start?
That's okay. You don't have to know exactly what you need.
Whether dealing with anxiety, chronic headaches, aching feet and legs, carpal tunnel like symptoms, tension, or you simply need some time to slow down and take care of yourself.
We'll talk about what you're experiencing and find an approach that feels right for you.
Every Body is different, and bodywork does not guarantee a particular outcome. What I can offer is thoughtful attention, gentle techniques, and a commitment to working with your body—not against it.
Your body deserves to be heard.
